Behind every shoot, every client relationship, and every piece of premium work is a team that keeps things running smoothly — and that's exactly where this role comes in.
about the role
We're looking for a People & Finance Coordinator. This is a hands-on, generalist role covering both our day-to-day finance function and core HR and people processes; from invoicing and reconciliations in Xero, through to recruitment, onboarding, and supporting our managers through performance and employee relations matters.
Working closely with our Operations Manager, you'll be a trusted point of contact across the business for all things finance and people - someone equally comfortable reconciling accounts as you are supporting a difficult staff conversation.
what you’ll do
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing
Reconcile accounts and follow up on overdue invoices with professionalism and care
Process payroll and ensure super and other statutory obligations are met on time
Coordinate recruitment and onboarding, from position descriptions through to induction
Support managers through performance reviews, difficult conversations, and employee relations matters
Maintain accurate, compliant HR records, contracts, and policies
Be the go-to person for finance and HR queries across the business
key responsibilities
Manage the company's day-to-day finance function, ensuring invoicing, bookkeeping, and accounting queries are handled accurately and on time in Xero. (Finance & Accounting)
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring new starters are set up and supported from day one. (Recruitment & Onboarding)
Support managers through the performance review cycle and employee relations matters, providing first-line HR advice and escalating complex matters where needed. (Performance & Employee Relations)
Maintain up-to-date position descriptions, contracts, and policies, ensuring HR processes comply with relevant employment legislation and awards. (HR Systems & Compliance)
Liaise with our external accountant/BAS agent to support BAS, IAS, and end-of-year requirements. (Finance & Accounting)
Support the General Manager with basic financial reporting and budget tracking. (Finance & Accounting)
what you’ll bring
Proven bookkeeping experience, including hands-on use of Xero for invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations
Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, including contracts, onboarding, and recruitment
Confidence and composure managing difficult staff conversations and performance management processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with financial records
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across two functional areas
Desirable but not essential: a Certificate IV or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Human Resource Management (or working towards one), experience in a small-to-medium business environment, working knowledge of employment legislation, awards, and the Fair Work system, and experience supporting or leading disciplinary or performance management processes.
why join Clique Creative?
This role suits someone who enjoys variety — moving between detailed financial work and people-focused conversations in the same day — and who wants to be a trusted, valued part of a growing, family-owned business. This is a part-time opportunity, with flexibility to work across 3-4 days a week (Tuesdays required for payroll purposes), and you'll work independently while staying closely connected to our Operations Manager and General Manager, with real ownership over the systems and processes that keep Clique running smoothly.
You'll join a business with strong commercial momentum and a genuine growth trajectory, within a supportive, family-owned culture that values care, creativity, and quality above all else.
